Peter Kolárik

From the pleasant shade of mountain nature, we moved again to the city, where the temperature rose above 36 degrees. We first looked for Peter at the company where he works. In vain. There was no one there. So we called him and he quite naturally explained the way to his home. He didn’t hesitate for a moment. At that moment, it seemed incredible to us how confident he invited us to his home. Only later did we understand why. He was convinced that his friends had prepared a birthday surprise for him. He told us a story about his nickname, Lekvarko. We all laughed. Peter is a man who can’t stand to sit without a job. He likes sports, he masters, he’s a smart cut. His friends know they can rely on him. When we go on a vacation together, Peter prepares an itinerary, arranges accommodations, takes care of the organization… simply arranges everything so that others can only enjoy moments together.

When we explained why we were here, he was sincerely surprised. For a while, he thought we were going to honor him for his regular blood donation. Then again, we’re just here to congratulate you on our birthday. His feelings were quite mixed at times, but his joy was all the more sincere when he found the reason for our visit quite different.

And there was another nice moment at the end. We found out that the next day he had a birthday party to meet another of our awards. With a smile, he promised to send us a photograph of the Sherpa.

The next day we came for the nomination list. In addition to it, in the square of the neighbors, we were able to appreciate two more people and to add that we felt as though we had been part of this neighborhood for years. We got 50 snacks too.
