Jana Klučiarová

Mrs. Anna, who we’re honoring today at the Faculty Hospital for the Prison Surgery Department, worked in this department. On her retirement as a senior nurse, she was replaced by her colleague, Jana, who self – sacrificingly helped her when she was hospitalized and fought severe pancreatitis. Doctors gave her only a 10% hope of recovery. Jana visited her daily, helped her with hygiene, and held her mainly mentally. They’re meeting today. They even recently took a girls’ trip to Moravia together.

Jane didn’t call until tonight, because she’s not answering the phone during the day. At first, she thought someone was shooting at her, but she finally agreed to meet me the next morning at the entrance to the building where she worked. We couldn’t even get to prison surgery. So we could get in, but only as patients (inmates), and we certainly wouldn’t want that. They take care of men and women here. Common diagnoses, as in civil wards, only in another mode, as the status of patients is specific. They even sometimes assist in childbirth. Once, prisoners were said to have swallowed anything just to get into a hospital bed. However, today is a different time, and such speculators are the minimum. The patients still have enough, though, because they are the only prison hospital in the country and have a single surgical department for the prisoners. The nurse came for the award accompanied by a colleague so that anyone could document the glory. But the nurses didn’t have much time because the department has twice as much work to do because of the reconstruction work as usual. He doesn’t stop at home either, because it’s gardening time and mainly jaming and cooking. He’s currently processing strawberries. That’s why we’ll have to wait for the next nomination. We hope only until the next morning.

Janka recharges batteries in the garden and in the cottage. Since he lives near the forest park, that is where he likes to walk. She’s enjoying Nordic walking. She is also a passionate reader and has a rich library at home and in the cottage. He prefers books that link interesting story with historical events.
