We talked about chance with regard to our awards. At one of them, at the door of the apartment building, we met an award-winning Anna who had just left the house, and we intuitively asked her name. Today, by chance, we were led to the same house, to the mother’s nanny named Anna.

Fourteen years ago, I started working at the lodge. After four years, I left, and since then I’ve been on the street, explaining myself. Now, every Saturday with volunteers, he gives out soup to the needy under the Trenčín bridge.

They first made soup for willing families, and they distributed it in Sihot, in the South, and at the railway station. Four years ago, the help of the Maltese knights who finance soups cooked in the restaurant was added.

We want to give them a warm diet, so at our own expense we’ll buy the ingredients, I’ll cook and spread them at home, and Elizabeth will add. Maltésans also cook something at home and do not forget hot coffee. Thirty diners are often used for soups.

Each week we have new and new. If they had all come, in those ten years there would have been two hundred or two hundred and fifty. At the end of September they organized peace and barbecue for the homeless in the Cove, and as cold days come, they prepare for them the October collection of socks.

Volunteering brought peace to Elizabeth’s life. And even though she looks through her fingers often to help the homeless, she says she’s not discouraged.

These people are what they are, but they are people and need to be treated with respect. They need to be heard, encouraged, caressed,’ she said.

He divides his leisure time among caregivers, food aid, church and garden. But her three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren are the sweetest time.

I’m happy every day, she added.
