Lenka Abaffyová

On the 6th of May, when we started the Tren-ČIN project in the mayor’s meeting room, we realized that even the mayor should receive the award. Or at least a letter that would justify the mayor being the first fire from two lines of the Tren-China story. At the time, Lenka, the project coordinator of Trenčín 2026, tried to quickly formulate a nomination letter for Richard Rybník. His line was called the RA office, the fish A. Finally, four lines were launched. Two started Richard Rybníček and two Peter (Kofy) Majzún, the seller of Nota Bene. After four months, the RA line led us back to Lenka. Lenka Abaffy is the 51st award-winning person in her.

The Tren-China project works independently. If we need help from Team Trenčín 2026, we call Lenka. She is our patron, our answer to questions and patient helper in the background. It does not have a tartar or a camera, yet it is an essential part of the implementation of the idea to appreciate as many people as possible who leave a positive lead in Trencin.

Lenka doesn’t just have us. As a project manager, she also covers Live Neighbours. In ten different housing estate communities, it helps to stimulate community life and bring people together. He invents, organizes, communicates, seeks, advises, provides, solves and listens to what people would like.

I’ve met a lot of interesting people and after two years of working in the project, my friends have actually met them.

They organize joint cleaning, planting of flowers, small concerts, barbecues or other events where neighbors can meet and get to know the site.

By not being from Trencin, when I started, I had absolutely no idea who was who, what was the street, I was there like a mouse torn up. On the other hand, it was also an advantage that man has no partiality to humans. You don’t know who a friend is or who doesn’t like. That story was just a clean paper at the beginning, and she said, and she added that the project is only running because of the people from the housing estates who have joined and are still willing to do something for others.

Lenka believes that these community projects will continue and be supported by the city after the end of the European Capital of Culture.

It will certainly not be as much as it is now, but at least we want to open a kind of library where people who want to organize something will be able to borrow some kind of mobile, stand, bench, sound, adds.

Lenka is busy at work, and she has a second shift waiting for her at home. My husband and I raise three boys. The youngest is going to school for the first time this year and there will be additional responsibilities in writing tasks.

I don’t have time to relax. I relax by saying to myself that everything is OK, and says project manager and mom full-time.
