The cops didn't believe I was going to work
Jaroslav is the rare kind of guy who’s called the Ezermester of the Thousand Master at Dolniaky. He’s a skilled, hardworking, and mostly willing man. He’ll come to the call to fix the roof, the flush, the water supply, and the barracks. He’s not talking about how he’s doing, how he can do what he can, he just does it.
The original occupation is a roofer and not just any one. He made roofs of houses and churches in the native Súč and Rajecka Lesna. He worked in Cyprus, Kazakhstan and 11 years in Russia.
We used to live there like a hotel, but it was a potato. Thirteen of us were building houses there, and he remembered and added that they were riding a dusty road for some 40 miles [40 km] on a branch. However, he claims that their work there was more valued than in Germany or elsewhere in the world. They only had them do professional work. He covered the roofs, and in the process, he pursued to make his crew a foreman and a cook. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
He’s got more energy than any 50. As a pensioner, he helped in a engineering firm and had no problem going to work on a fourth morning. At 3:30, he sat on his bike and went.
The cops didn’t believe I was going to work.
Jaroslav is still working as a janitor at the hotel. He has golden hands, he’s reliable and warm.
He likes mountains, cycling, and he also played football, the famous sycamore derby. Today he especially enjoys travel. He and his wife are gonna take the sea. They were also in Bosnia, Turkey and even in the Caribbean.
