Thank you, I don't deserve that kind of appreciation. I'm surprised and unshaven. We have several such personalities in the region, and we know so little about them. I like when the model of the aircraft has its own story, especially if it is connected with Slovakia

Roman Herman, a studied economist, works in a health insurance company, but his passion is the history of World War II. Along with several friends he discovers unknown fates and places that have walked the history of the region. As we redirected the conversation on this subject, his eyes shone and enthusiastically told us about men whose stories are almost forgotten.
I am interested in military history and I am also a member of the Military Paratroopers Club.
Today, thanks to him, we remember the name of Joseph Jablonka, a paratrooper from Drietoma, who was on three times a secret mission in the tulle of German troops as a scout.
We have several such personalities in the region, and we know so little about them, and he said and added that it was a very modest man who survived the war and lived a subtle life of a common citizen. In his research, he also met people with the opposite fate. During the war they were not heard of, but after the war they proudly reported to the partisans.
He is currently interested in the aviation history of Trenčín, which is still little explored. They would like to update with colleagues the brochure that was published on the history of the aviation industry 50 years ago. He is also the father of the idea of regular meetings at the memorial of the hero Jozef Gabčík in Skalka. These too aim to draw attention to the personalities of our modern – day history.
Roman Herman relaxes on hiking trails or occasionally finds time to bike. He also spends his free time at the table sticking up his World War II fighter models. He is currently trying to create a diorama with the model of British fighter Hawker Hurricane, on which the Slovak pilot Ján Ambruš flew in the Battle of Britain.
It’s a legend, too. I want to make a diorama. I like it when the model of the aircraft has its own particular story, especially if it is connected with Slovakia, and Herman added.
