Hana Tisová

Doctor, surgeon Hana Tis is a hard-to-reach person. He has his office in Trencin, but he operates three days a week in hospitals in Ilava and Bánovce nad Bebravou. When she started her medical career, she was the only woman in surgery in Trencin and later five years in Puchov.

We waited two weeks for her to come back from vacation, and just before her office hours, she found us not even ten minutes.

Family with three children, activities at Rotary Club Trenčín Laugaricio, assistance with student exchange stays or visits to DSS clients in Adamovské Kochanovce should be added to its workload.

With Rotary Club she helped start the project of cafes and packing shops on the road. This project now covers a civic association with the same name. Café and packaging are protected workshops where people with disabilities are given the opportunity to live a full life. Guests of the café learn tolerance and respect for otherwise.

Everyone here has a chance to learn something new and tear down their prejudices, and Hana said and added that the Trenčians already know this project well.

Doctor likes to relax with a good book. She’s the most interested in nonfiction. If he chooses to play sports, he reaches for cross-country skiing or takes a walk in the countryside. For example, the nearby Beskids in Valashka.
