The chairman of the board of Trenčín football club knows about us, but he has no idea exactly what to expect. He’s letting us into the stadium through the side entrance. The presence of a film crew surprises him, but it does not make him nervous. He’s used to it. He is very modest and friendly in his position in the club.
The quarter of the century, along with a team of co-workers, tries to build football sports and get youths for it. AS Trenčín is currently reporting to five hundred children, boys and girls.
We’re trying to be a strong part of improving the quality of life in the city, says the club boss.
Through sports, they instill not only discipline and rules, but also perseverance, purposefulness, sense of fair play, cohesion in the team and above all the joy of sport.
Eighteen years they’ve been organizing a charity event for Stars to children. During that time, around 400 000 euros were distributed among socially disadvantaged people in the region.
We do yet another beautiful event, Hall of Fame, where we commemorate all those people who made up the history of the club and continue to live in Trencin, and Robert Rybníček adds.
