Žember’s house has its place in the history of Trencin. It is the first large building built to be used for commercial purposes. Her fate is moved as the fate of all the buildings that have survived socialism. Today it belongs again to the Žembers and serves the original purpose.
Motor Best Boss We visited the Žember house together with the film crew just before the closing. He was just coming out of the office and hiding no surprise. Although the original occupation is aeronautics mechanics, for thirty-one years he has been in gastronomy. His philosophy is simple to serve a customer. After the first shock, he also offered us coffee, but in the end, the waitresses made the most of them cool.
The employees just call him the boss. When we ask the waitress what kind of boss he is, tears will shine in their eyes and say he’s a man with a big heart.
After three decades in business, however, it also senses burnout. They took a lot of energy away from him for months of pandemics, during which businessmen in gastronomy and services suffered the most. The pressure from the authorities does not add to the motivation, and there is little time for rest.
