How to get Nominated

You can’t apply to join trenČIN.

If you ever become part of it, it will be because someone else nominated you – someone who believes your actions make the world around you a little better. That’s what makes it so special.

1. We’re looking for people who make the life of society a little brighter through small acts.
   Not grand gestures, but real actions that have a positive impact on the people around us.
2. We’re not looking for headline heroes.
   We’ll leave awards for sporting achievements, scientific discoveries, or lifetime accomplishments for others to take care of. trenČIN notices people whose actions deserve recognition, even if they never make the front page.
3. Each recipient nominates the next.
   Everyone who receives the award recommends others whose actions deserve recognition. However, they may not nominate the person who nominated them.
4. No mothers, fathers, or cousins.
   Our loved ones are often the most amazing people in the world, but close family members aren’t eligible for nomination.
5. One person – or two.
   The award recognizes concrete individuals. Let’s leave work teams, sports clubs, and larger groups for another occasion.
6. The spotlight is on people.
   Not companies, brands, or organisations.
7. Who’s next?
   Each recipient nominates two people and ranks them in order of preference. If, for whatever reason, the first nominee is unable or unwilling to make nominations of their own, the chain carries on through the second nominee from the previous round.
